THE MERIDIAN PROJECT 2020

THE BRIEF

Nostell Estate Business Park engaged us to create a social hub at the heart of this beautiful complex. It had to combine areas for large and small group business meetings but also provide intimate and cosy relaxation areas where tenants could enjoy a light lunch or a hot drink.

YUGEN INSPIRATION

Our inspiration comes from the historical connections of the new brand name Meridian, the beautiful grounds surrounding the business park and the four changing seasons.

THE END RESULT

Though COVID-19 delayed the initial start and caused some disruption to the project, it was completed by October 2020. The end result surpassed the client’s expectations (see the testimonial).

Yvonne has recently assisted The Nostell Estate in a bespoke design project. Many tenants have been at Nostell for a number of years, including Yvonne Thurley Design, but feedback was that it felt the Estate has lacked a central hub, to bring everyone together. Meridian - named in recognition to maritime clock designer John Harrison's connections with Nostell Priory - is now open for The Nostell Estate tenants and their visitors to use. It is an opportunity to get away from their desks and working offices and relax in a beautifully designed environment.
